From the 1st of March until the 19th of April, Ghent University Library is holding an online survey for UGent researchers and students on the satisfaction with our services. By means of this survey, Ghent University wants to measure the library service quality to see, on the one hand, what works well and to find out what we can improve.
Who can participate?
The survey is open to all students and staff of Ghent University.
Participants can win a travel cheque of 750 €, a guided VIP tour in the Booktower, a restaurant visit, or one of the many Cadeaubon Gent or bookvouchers. A winner is chosen in each faculty. The survey is anonymous, the e-mail address is only requested to allot the price and is not linked to the results. Winners will be drawn in each faculty.
The survey will run from March 1st to April 19th 2019. Completing our survey will take only 5 minutes.
All students and staff will be invited by mail to participate.
We chose the LibQUAL + method. This is a web-based, tailored libraries survey compiled by the Association of Research Libraries (ARL). Questions are asked about different aspects of library service which will be tested to the expectations and satisfaction with the current situation. Using this method, the quality of the results is ensured. Due to the standardization it is also possible to compare the services with similar libraries at home and abroad. The results of the survey will be processed by the ARL LibQUAL team, and the results are delivered in a report.
